Art and flavors at the Franciacorta Festival

13 September 2023

Festival Franciacorta is back on Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17.

This year we propose the combination of art and flavors: the guided tour of the cellar will reveal eight works by the Franciacorta artist Francesca Adamo: large-format paintings and sculptures with a pop-surrealist flavor, a preview of her personal exhibition in October in Brescia, Palazzo Facchi.

Waiting for you in the outdoor lounge is the team of two local gastronomic institutions, the Macelleria Gavazzi and theRistorante Gaudenzi, who will serve “arrosticini” with polenta, prepared on-site and accompanied by the three classic Mirabella Franciacortas in Magnum format: Edea Brut, Satèn and Rosé.

The pairing, also available in a vegetarian version, can also be enjoyed as a picnic among the rows of the Pinot Blanc collection-vineyard.

For Reserve enthusiasts, we instead offer a vertical tasting in the private vault, with the oenologist Alessandro Schiavi guiding the tasting of five vintages of DØM, an acronym for Dosaggio Zero Mirabella. In addition to the 2015, awarded with the Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri, the 2011, 2009 and 2006 vintages will be available for tasting, plus a surprise à la volée.

Those who love a party mood will appreciate Demetra by Night, the evening event on Saturday 16th: toast with the Franciacorta Millesimati Demetra and Demetra Rosé, accompanied by the daytime food proposal; soft lights and DJ sets will transform the outdoor lounge into a magical space.
